捉摸不到的天空...

其實是多麼的近...

4 months in 4 paragraphs

my last entry is 10th June 2008..... that cannot be good right? Am i too busy to write or just lazy to feel the need to write.... I guess both then.... haha.... basically for those who had my MSN already knew whats going on within my life,.... but then again i think it's time to spread a grayish glimpse in the world of Aaron Francis Yu Chun Ting.

Here it goes,

I finally started my job since April Fools' Day 2008..... Working as a travel assistant in a Travel Management Company called Westminister.... nothing too fancy really.... the light part is that I barely have to OT... i mean let's face it, there's no point in working overtime if airline reservation desk is closed after 6 and most of the ticketing department can do jack-shit after 6. The only i could do after 6 is finish up paper works and glare at the monitor thining what to do next. I work 5 days a week.... sometimes 6.... depends on the roster schedule....(that's right.... travel managment company have to work on Saturdays for emergency hotlines..... not dumbass inquiries you mo-foes....).

Sometime I just wonder why do a travel agency has an 24-hr emergency hotline? First you cannot make last minute reservations because u have to urgently leave the country for a business conference just because u left it out of the to do list.... it's just that.... everything in the world needs timing.... time to process, time to access the mainframe, time to conduct with the airline folks, etc.... and it's pointless if u're doing a booking in the middle of the night with the fact that the booking is a few months ahead.... I guess it's just a method to give reassurance to the customers by sacrificing personal times of employees... it's a good thing really.... although i don't think it's necessary.

Past probation since end of June.... this had been the longest time that i have a job (provided it's my first full time). Not saying that I hated my job, but I like to state out the downside of my life.... I enjoyed working in a travel company.... it's the attitude of some of the customers I cannot stand. I've set deadlines in certain bookings and certain someone alway changing the deadline.... then past the deadline and say I don't want the booking.... Asking prices of the product, in which i'm just reading from a list.... (by customer's choice) and all i get was "what the fuck?? I thought you said it was a 2 star hotel and it cost HKD 1300 per night?? Isn't it outrageous.... can you give me a choice for under $900.... huh? a range of 2 stars and 1 star.... isnt there some stay 3 pay 2..... must be there somewhere with a under $900 find it for me??" This comes to show you the true nature of human state.... if they saw/heard of a promotional deal that had been expired and low seasonal prices.... they'll assume that the high seasonal price is not an acceptable answer for they cheapscape personality (which is also the main blockage to their logical mindset - which i seriously doubt that this person had). For those who gave me their entire planned trip.... I SALUTE you guys.... for making your life and mine a better smoother life... And for those cheap annoying stubborn little pencil neck who doesnt think straight.... don't bark at me if u ended up in a cheap motel-like hotel that's been haunted.

Recently, I had been given a raise.... which is a good news i had since i got the job. Then afterwards i had been involunteraily enrolled into a "Ticketing and Fare Construction Course" held by the Travel Industry Council in HK. Nothing to say about the course, except it's 3 hours in the night and it's located in Fortress Hill (for those who know HK geography Fortress Hill is located in the heartlands of the HK Island [Blue MTR Line], whereas I am living in the middle grounds of the Kowloon Penninsula, Kowloon Tong [Green MTR line/KCR East Railway]... it took me 1 hour just to commute). And what's worse is that I suspect the teacher hasnt been teaching the subject for a long time.... given the fact that she cannot give reassuring statements just by answering our questions. Had a final in the end of July.... and I got the results.... I passed the course and now I'm a certified TIC fare contruction and ticketing personal.... which frankly I have NO BLOODY IDEA for it's usefulness... It sounded handy but I cannot think of an idea to work with it.... just like my mathematics degree :p

and that's work in 4 months.... never knew time passes so quickly when you start stating the messed up parts in your world... but hey.... at least it gives colors in my life.... Enjoyed every minute of it :)

Don't get me "Hungry".... You don't want to get me "Hungry"

I had been watching some movies..... it's been a long while before I watched any movies until these few days.... I could wathc 3 movies... 2 of them my favourite, the latter seemed like a trip to highschool literature class.

First - Ironman (May 2008)

Plot: Just like the comics, it revolves around the life of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) before and after becoming Ironman, a superhero donning a high tech super-armor(MK-1 through MK-4). This also marks a special cameo from Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson, YESSSH!!!) offering the "avengers" initiative.

Comment: If anyone knows me well, they know I'm a superhero film NUT. I have 2 words to describe it... Sweet and Cool. Robert Downey Jr. is right for the role of Tony Stark (given both personal histories: Stark being a alcoholic and Downey as a former addict). He brings a certain human-ness to the character.... more life as you could put it. The Mk-1 armor (The grey bulk armor) is so crude that I felt the realness, despite all armors are being made in CGI (what isn't nowadays?). The only disappoint i had is the Jarvis character had been reduced to being a computer program.... Although i do agree that If the butler being a person.. then it'll make Ironman more like the Marvel version of Batman... Batman/Bruce wayne being Ironman/Tony Stark, Alred being Jarvis, and the high-tech gear.... Nevertheless... it's quite a good movie, even for people who hasn't been into the comics... As for the Villain... it was none other than Sebastian Shaw...also known as the Iron Monger, basically another Ironman that has a bigger frame and cannot fly. Jeff Bridges is definately unrecognizable.... what can I say... must be his bald-headed charms that win us over for being the evilest business man (who isn't?). I give it a 9 out of 10

Second - Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Plot: Second of the Anthology (7 books) Chronicles of Narnia. Picking up from what the last film left, the Siblings had been staying in their hometown England for a year and had been summoned to the Land of Naria, only it had been 1000 years after they last visited. and They had to defend the Narians before the enemies kills them all.

Comment: This is actually my first look at the Narnia series.... But thanks to my past knowledge of ancient Literature, I wasnt too left behind along with the series. Basically if you havent seen/read the Witch, Lion and the Wardrobe... you might not be too confused with most of the storylines.... until Aslan (the Lion, voiced by Liam Neeson) shows up or being mentioned throughout the series. The series is basically based on the authors look on  Christianity... and it is well-known that Aslan is none other than the Son of God... (Jesus). I could see the refer, since Aslan is being the wisest and most magical among all. Not really a fan of the later series of the Chronicles but it is a great entertaining experience. I give it a 7.5 out of 10

Last - The Incredible Hulk

Plot: (to be soon)

Comment: (to be soon)

Kids say the darnest thing

It occured as a conversation between my two sisters Sabrina (8 years old) and Tiffany (6 years old). Given the situation that both of my sisters are sick and had been coughing for the past 2 weeks.

Tiffany: (To my mom) Can i have some orange juice please
Mom: But you're coughing, still sick.... and u'll cough even more
T: But I really like orange juice, and it's suppose to be a healthy drink.
Sabrina: (Just walked into the conversation) But it's not good for your coughing
T: But I really like orange juice
S: But you're coughing
T: But I like it
(After a whiles of responses and counter response...)
T: But I like orange juice
S: (sighing) okay fine, you drink orange juice la.... cough for the rest of your life la....

Dad, mom and me was laughing and coughing at the same time....
